Description I got a new brush pen the other day, so I figured I'd do some quick doodles to get it broken in. From the top to bottom, we have:
>David Tennant as the 10th Doctor
>Tom Baker as the 4th Doctor
>My 2D design professor
>My OC Emma
>My OC Grimm
>My OC Bela, being pissy
>My OC Thaxter, being smarmy

Brush pens are OMFG SO MUCH FUN TO USE. Seriously, I love being able to get so much line weight variation with just one tool. Granted, I could probably get the same amount of variation with a carefully-placed pen, but I don't trust myself around inkwells lol.

I cannot describe how much I enjoy this little dump, and not just because it has the Doctor in it. ouo

These are so fun! I love the wide range of expressions. What kind of brush pen do you use?

Thanks a bunch; I'm glad you enjoyed them!

Faber-Castell Pitt pens. The brush nibs wear out rather quickly if you're not careful with them, but they're relatively cheap and you can actually pull out the nib and stick it in backwards for a fresh tip, so that isn't much of a problem.

Hmmms. I've been entertaining the thought of getting a brush pen lately. How much does a Faber-Castell Pitt one cost? The other kind of heard of is Pentel, I could get one of those for $11.99 online and it can have the ink replaced.

I think they're about $3 USD the last time I checked. They're the disposable kind and I don't know if you can actually have the ink replaced. If you're planning on using a brush pen often, getting a pricier-yet-less-disposable pen might be better in the long run. I don't actually use mine very often, so one brush pen lasts about a year or two for me.

Brush pens do look fun to use. Are decently priced or expensive? D:

The ones I have cost around 3 bucks a pop, but I think you can get them in bulk for relatively cheap.
