That's the Skytower, the local radio/tv tower and tourist attraction; It is part of the casino and has a restaurant in it.

Thanks, where else in NZ would you rather live? Christchurch is too small, Wellington is just weird and small and you always feel like you are walking around in a circle. And Queenstown is lovely but waaayyy too small
But i agree, Auckland is not a 'retty' sight/city.

Wellington is home, it's where my heart is and has always stayed, despite my forced move to Auckland. I can't stand the blimming city! Pretty much Wellington is the only place I want to be...

Nope I grew up in Hamburg, Germany and moved to Auckland in December 2005 to study graphic design at AUT.
So yea, coming from a huge city like Hamburg, i miss the big city aye

yea its a fun town for students but i do miss a real city with the perks of a working public transport system for example
