Description "You insolent fool! You told me you would break the purple dragon's spirit so in time he would become the next dark master incase anything happened to Malefor!"

"I...I did everything I could! I tried to tell him that there would be no stopping Malefor and that Cynder would once again become his pawn, but he insisted on going to rescue Cynder and take his own path anyway."

"You.....are completely useless! We don't have any other choice, All we can do now is just wait for the little purple dragon to make it to The Well of Souls and hope this his mind and heart are not clear and pure enough for him to resist the dark powers of the well of souls and have the corruption take effect......"

So I've read 's Zirra's return comic for some time and I gotta say, her story of Zirra and her what if idea of Corrupted Cynder's actions are not done by Cynder herself but by Zirra in control of her. While it does explain a lot of plot holes of Cynder, especially the ones left by Dawn of the Dragon, I also realized it also counteracts The Chronicler's sayings that Cynder was poisoned and made to do the Dark Master Malefor's bidding and that when he returns she will concced to him. I thought about this for a very long time trying to figure out how this would work in the Zirra's return story. But it wasn't until recently when I finally came up with this what if theory. And that is: What if The Chronicler (the old one, not the Ignitus one.) actually worked for the Hermit and tried to give Spyro false information about Cynder's fate in order to break Spyro's spirit enough so he becomes the new dark master incase Zirra did manage to kill Malefor when he returns. While it obviously back fired when Spyro instead became determined to rescue Cynder from the Well of Souls, somehow he still managed to get some darkness in him during the fight against Gaul.

This is just a fan theory for now but it's all I got for a theory on why The Chronicler told Spyro Cynder was corrupted by Malefor's dark powers when it was really Zirra's doing. I may or may not make a sequel to this based on my theory of Dark Spyro.

Hope you'll like this everyone, especially you

I really like your theory here ^^
I've definitely thought about all this two. A lot of the problems with the tlos story is the differences between Krome and Etranges Libellules versions. Dawn of the Dragon mess with a lot of pre established things from Krome, even Cynders coloring. So the issue came down to how to still make it all work when making a fanfic. I like what I've got and am excited to get to it
But I do love hearing theories. Awesome work here ^^
