SOLD OUT This is my #DBZ-Girls entry for January. In case you can't tell, Lunch has been clearing Master Roshi's walkway with a flamethrower
I'd say Goku and Krillen are impressed, wouldn't you?Btw, in case you can't read my crappy handwriting, here's what they're saying:
Lunch: Now that's how you clear a walkway.

Roshi gave the boys an assignment. Good Launch decided to help. But she sneezed and mysteriously as always takes out a flamethrower and teaches her favorite boys how to clear a walk way.

Maybe they did...just sometime during (one of) the timeskip(s). Might explain why we don't see her again until she makes an (albeit brief) cameo in the latest DBZ movie. (She's in the background somewhere.)

No telling, really. I think there was something said in DBZ about her wandering off to follow Tien around, but she was never seen again (until her minor/background appearance in the latest Z movie, anyway). I love Lunch. She was so awesome, BOTH of her.
I forgot what happened to her, though. T_T Wish she'd stayed for all the seasons. hehe

I was never really enraptured by Lunch, myself. I think she's cool, 'n all, but she was such a minor presence in the DB manga...maybe if I'd seen more of her, I'd have liked her better.
Supposedly, she ran off looking for Tien sometime between the end of DB and the beginning of DBZ (I believe that Krillen says something about it in the first episode of DBZ when Goku asks about her absence). Ever read my drabble about it? (It doesn't work so well now that she's made a minor/background appearance in the latest Z movie, but it's still funny.) [link]

Well in DB there were very few girls anyway (Chichi, Bulma and Lunch were the only reoccurring female characters, I think), and her blonde self had the most moxy. I guess being a feminist little girl, I took delight in the fact that Lunch was so powerful and intimidating as well as kind and caring. XD hehe

True, but you'd think they could hold onto the ones they did have...Bulma and ChiChi were the only ones that really carried over into Z and the former was the single gal that really had any sort of role in either series. In the manga, ChiChi only shows up at the beginning for a volume and then again for a few chapters at the very end (which is kinda sad for ChiChi, but also potentially cute in GCC/romantic sense).
I know, I know...very mean! But I couldn't resist
You know how I love surprise endings...hehehe. There's no point in saying that Lunch died unless there's something potentially funny in it, either.

Yeah, Chichi didn't seem to play a big part in DB and even DBZ. There are not enough women in DBZ, too. But at lest we have Videl and 18, as far as fighters go. ^^
Well it was enjoyable. Surprise endings are enjoyable as well!

Yeah, that's nice...though ChiChi is technically a fighter, too. She just gives it up to be a housewife (which I think is perfectly fine considering how happy it seems to make her. Videl as a housewife, though...eh, I never bought that).
The brand new Z movie, forget the name (mostly 'cuz the Japanese make their titles super long -_-; ) Look it up on youtube! It only came out a couple months ago. (They actually give Videl more lines than Gohan @@ It's kinda awesome, hehe.)
"Got yer nose!" and "Oh noes @@ That goofball has a 'fro, too? I'm getting a straightener..." hehe. Fun, fun ^^

Videl doesn't seem like the housewife type at all. I'd sooner believe Gohan playing the little role of "Mr. Mom".

As for Videl, it doesn't seem like Toriyama really pinned down what profession (if any) she's into post-motherhood. Maybe we're meant to assume that she's a housewife, but there's really no evidence for or against that (that I've noticed, anyway). As far as we know, she could simply be home from work for the day or it could be a Saturday (Goten IS hanging around out back with Goku when Trunks randomly shows up looking for him, which more-or-less proves that everyone's enjoying downtime).
Eh...either way, I like to picture Videl with a job outside of the house. ChiChi, even as a child, seemed destined for the wife and mother lot, but Videl just never seemed like the type to me.

I forgot about Gohan's occupation, I always thought he was some sort of professor or something.
Maybe she's still working with the police, but not as hands-on. I read one fic were she was in social services.

I always thought she'd make a good detective, myself. On SI, we also agreed that she'd make a kick ass lawyer (a prosecutor, of course).
