When slash marks are found on mighty tree trunks, it’s a surefire thing to know that a Grizzleaf is nearby. Grizzleaf know their territorial boundaries by slashing marks on the trunks of trees strong enough to withstand its claws.
This Pokémon apparently hones its long claws before battle. Its claws are tempered through its training and is thus, always glossy. A Grizzleaf is also capable of shooting the quill-thorns out of its back with pinpoint accuracy.
