In all his many battles, Malikai Rex had faced some pretty tough adversaries, ranging from dealing with some heavy hitting and sinister villains to even occasionally having to confront any unruly monsters running rampant in the wild.

But out of all the enemies he had fought, there were none, except one, that could compare to his next opponent, one who was more than able to put him on the ropes.

Qarinah, a villain from another universe, and a particularly powerful one at that. He was the most dangerous villain that Malikai had seen in a while, even more so than almost any of his native enemies, and he learned this the hard way in their fierce encounter during a thunderstorm when Malikai, in a rare display of overconfidence, underestimated Qarinah by failing to comprehend just how capable he actually was, with his sheer strength, superb intelligence and powerful abilities proving more than able to keep the T.Rex at bay.

As the storm continued to rage, Malikai would endure one attack after another, with his clothes receiving some damage as well. But he wouldn't go down that easy.

And, gaining his second wind, he went in for a direct punch, with Qarinah returning the gesture as a massive lightning bolt flashed in the distance.

Needless to say, it was a battle that neither would ever forget.
