Description Sorry guys for not posting in a while, i've just been pretty down since i haven't figured out how to fix my wi-fi problem. . but dont worry i'll be ok.

Anyways.... these 2 fakemon are modeled after.. (dramatic drum roll) pawns! you know, the chess pieces. There different colors for hopefully obvious reasons (no, not shiny and normal but if you must know the shiny colors are gold and silver). I tried my hand at a little shading but i think i failed T_T. they have 5 different split evos but i'll draw those later.

Some advice on the shading because these guys deserve to look as good as you can get them: Choose a source of Light - I normally have mine coming from the top left - and then do shading in layers. I start out by doing a very soft base and then drawing extremely dark in places where I know there are the clearest shadows I then do many different shades of the same color from that shadow. Simple as that. I think your main shading problem was lack of a definite Light Source and lack of blending. Hope this helps. I need to leave my computer but comment back reminding me to fave your whole Chess Pokemon group . And feel free to ask questions because I was rushed during my explanation.

Hmm thats completely up to you. Due to my extreme lack of colors I only ever use one. This also depends on how many colors you have to work with. I wouldnt recommend ever mixing different colors no matter how close in shade they are ie purple and red or red and pink. Ive experimented with that but every time the extra colors have destroyed the Pokemon style. But if you have art pencils that come in many different shades I would recommend maybe 2 or 3. Using one color I would recommend 3 or 4 layers. A good example of how to shade using blending pencils is . You should ask him what he uses. And youre more than welcome. Keep drawing because you have great ideas . Thanks for the invite too. Im going to go fave as soon as Im done with my messages. Hope that made sense. Again youre welcome to ask any more questions you have.

They're interesting, and I do like them. Are they two forms of the same Pokemon?

Yes they are, like the eastern and western shellos.
