January 12, 2010.Painter IX, JASC Paint Shop Pro 7 for adjustments.
Oh my GOSH.. My hand feels broken from trying to use Painter. X| I also notice I left a few tiny details out, but I'm not going back to that torture! XO
Anyway, my legit character insert into the Fire Emblem world!
That's me, Prax, the official strategist/tactician of Elibe!
I even gave myself a green cape, just like the in-game sprite! XD
Lyn of the Sacae finds me unconscious on the plains, and I get to help her beat up badguys! I'm injured, so I don't fight in battles despite my spear, which is now used as a walking stick. Instead, I tell her what to do!
Lyn: We were lucky to have her help.
Eliwood: And she's lucky she somehow escapes enemy sights on the battlefield while giving orders.
Hector: Although she seems more interested in being a matchmaker than a strategist...

I love this! It's so rare that there's any artwork for the FE 7 Tactician and I love your representation of her! Everything about this is just so wonderful like how the attire of each of the girls are detailed from the cape that the tactician wars to the subtle marks on Lyn's blade. I especially love that "I'm alright!" look on Prax's face even though she's bruised up.
Almost makes me wish that the Tactician him/herself can support with units. This piece of work is just so amazing in every way!

Yeah, this is an old image, but I do remember spending a lot of time trying to get all the details in and correctly!
Well, at least in Fire Emblem Awakening, you're able to become a tactician that supports with others! Although in FE12, they also had some of that going on as well, which was nice. Too bad that remains untranslated (alhtough there is a fan translation out there)

I'm having a friend play through FE7 while I watch, teaching him all the joys and tragedies of the fire emblem experience. Can't wait 'til he gets to Battle Before Dawn. xD

Aah, I just loveΒ the design of your coat, the whole outfit is just great! And it's amazing how detailed Lyn is: even her haircord/string(whatever it is called in English) is detailed :3

Yeah, I tried to make sure I had every detail down from her official design so it took me really long to do. xD And yet I still left a thing ro two out by accident! haha (there should be a thin red trim beside the gold one in the corner of her tunic flap near by boot but whoops--and I still remember that to this day @___@).
And then I had to make sure my costume was detailed to kind of not look so out of place. lol
And not at all~! xD The Fire Emblem series is my favourite, so I never mind old comments on fanart I do for it! Haha~

Love Hector's line - it's so true. I remember when Kent and Farina are talking and they're like 'why do we keep meeting each other on the battlefield? Do you think someone's doing this deliberately?' My first thought was 'They're onto me!'
More importantly, I think the art's brilliant, and really matches the feel of the fire emblem games. Great work!

You know, when playing FE series which allowed player take a role as tactian. Some how we imagine we get thrown from our dimension into the FE dimension.
When play FE7, I'm imagine I get thrown into Sacae dessert and Lyn who find me unconsious think that I'm get robbered by bandits. I got amnesia about the modern dimension, I just can back to the 21century after the last chapter of the game. That's why all Elibe can't find the tactician because I'm just get back in to the modern dimension..... The end... LOL

It didn't really have a hairstyle I wanted for my avatar, so I just chose the default hair to base it on. If it had more wavy hair, mine pretty much would look like this: [link]

Very nice! I was able to make mine close to me, but not as tall as I wanted to. I'm kinda tall and skinny, but the taller avatar is too bulky to represent me. I'm about to start Chapter 5, but have been doing a lot of the side missions, so my characters have been leveling more

I love this picture. You've got a neat style and very accurate proportioning. I love the outfit you're wearing and I really like your hair. The expressions are priceless, and the colors are vibrant and complimentary. I especially love how you portrayed Lyn; she looks great!

Oh yes I am. I haven't played very many FE games since around where I live they're hard to find, so I can't wait for a new one that is guarunteed to be on the shelves. I'm glad they've got the whole tactican thing going in it, and the matchmaking one's own self is an epic option!!

Well, when I was in highschool, yeah! That's how my hair was! XD
Right now, my hair is too short to do that, but I still liek drawing my character with that hair. XD It's a cool hair style! Keep hair out of the way, but not tight like a phonytail!

I actually got inspired to start my own rom hack now just because of your drawing.
It's pretty tough and it takes alot of work when you do it on your own but it's really rewarding. Inner fanboy screaming in delight xD

I am totally with you there. It would truly be so much more accessible if there was a FE maker. I know quite a few people with the creative talent to make their own FE, but they just don't possess programming skills. -_-'

It's funny how I found this picture. I was reading a FE fanfic by Celtic Guardian 7, and then I decided to look up google images to see if there was any chance there was a picture of a tactician anywhere.
The description of Celtic's female tactician makes her look exactly like your tactician. I don't know if it's just a coincidence, or you know who that is?
