Description Here is Minalva with her mom Yalza (105 years old) and her 2 brothers, Jolel (around 86) and Kar-Yol (9 years old).
As you can see there is no dad here. I have hesitated for a long time, but I finally decided that her father is dead, or at least disappeared and believed dead. Is he really dead ? I don't know yet, but the fact it's not absolutely sure can open doors for a futur story.

This picture is not completly lore friendly.
If you follow my story, you know that wood elves like to live naked. But because of the presence of Kar-Yol in it (9 years old, remember), even if it's a harmless picture, I think you'll understand why I choose to clothe them.
I choose to cover Minalva's and Yalza's breasts, to be completelty safe, which is kind of sad because there is nothing wrong with women's breasts... But it's another debate.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I plan to do the same with Marina, Delphine and Romatzo in the future. I'm just not sure if I wait until their family appeared in the story or not.

Thank you, Tom.

I love to create characters. The only problem is that I can have too much of them and be overwhelmed.

Just today I have created 4 of them! Only in my head for now, but I intend to make them in 3d, because they'll have a role to do, probably in a very long time.

Aaaaargh, the overwhelming starts !!!!!

Thank you! ^^

Living in the wild is not easy, even for them. But it's the live they love and in time of peace, it's mostly a happy life.

Their "living in the moment" personalities have a lot to do with that.

Aww Beautiful family!Β  Β Β
Great job as always!! Β

ItΒ΄s so nice to see the parents and siblings of the characters and make this kind of picture with them together! ^^ I'm going to love meeting Marina, Delphine and Romatzo's family as well.

I really enjoyed the environment too! Is it a mix of photo and 3d?

Thanks a lot, Juliana.

"I'm going to love meeting Marina, Delphine and Romatzo's family as well."

For now, most of their families are only existing in my head, they don't have 3d body yet. That's also why I won't do it right now.

But I'll work on them when I'll have finish the storyline... or if I want to take a break between 2 pictures.

Kind of, but everything was present in DS. The background's picture, is actually also the HDRI. The 3d environment around them are models by Shaaramuse.

I love Shaaramuse models, they looks so realistic.

You are welcome.

I think Shaaramuse sell only at Renderosity.

I did a similar picture almost 1 year ago with Minalva.

It's a concept fun to do and it expand the universe around the character, I think. ^^

Do you plan this out, like an outline for the story and then planning a specific number of pictures?Β

Mekheke In reply to Tinnuien [2019-04-11 14:59:28 +0000 UTC]

For this storyline, it's a little complicated because I began with no story actually.

It was first random pictures that I tried to tie a minimum with each others.

Then I started to have a real story taking place in my mind. At that moment I began to plan things.

I usually have an image in my head concerning a key moment of the story. So, the number of images is technically planned.

But sometimes I have too much things to say and, to not making the text too long, I choose to create an unplannified picture, for divide the text in 2.

For an exemple, the parts set in The Guild of Adventurers, I had in mind 7 or 8 pictures (maybe even less) and I ended-up with 14! I was so tired to be stuck in that place. lol

To stay with The Guild exemple, I started to collect/create props, clothes, characters, etc..., 6 months before I began to actually work on the scenes.

For the text itself, I usually write it only when the picture connected with it, is rendering.

It's probably not the way to do, but I like worling this way.

A little tip, because I know you draw very well. Sometimes I have an idea for a scene very in advance and to not forget it, I do a quick sketch of it.

Sorry for the long explanation. I hope it'll help you.

Thank you for letting me look inside your process. Not too long at all! I'm amazed how much preparation is needed beforehand...

Mekheke In reply to Tinnuien [2019-04-14 14:00:34 +0000 UTC]

You don't need that much preparation for every pictures don't worried.

"The Guild of Adventurers" part was a big moment, where I have introduced a lot of new characters and it was set in different places inside the city.

So I had to find or create these new characters, how to clothe them, etc... Same thing with the interior scene. Not all the sets have furnitures included with them, so you may have to think what things you need to fill them.

Thinking of that kind of things in advance makes scenes easier and faster to create, once you have to make them.

That's a nice family picture, they seem quite happy. Maybe we can get something along this line for the other characters, too

Wood elves are usually very close to their family and with the people of their clan.

I plan to do the same with the other characters too (like said in the description ). But I think I'll wait until they appeared in the story first.

It's also because most of them exist only in my head. They don't have digital body yet.
