After their last major argument, Sonic and Sky took several hours apart to calm their tempers.

When they found each other, Sonic slowly walked up to his magenta girlfriend, and was the first to speak;

Sonic: Hey, beautiful... I know you may still be mad at me...

Sky did not reply, she kept her back facing away from the blue hedgehog.
He added, in the hopes of getting some kind of response from her;

Sonic: ... Look, I'm sorry for some of the things I said. I guess we both said some stuff neither of us meant...
C'mon, Sky! Say something... Please!

Finally, Sky responded and she said;

Sky: Sonic, can I ask you something?

Sonic: Sure, honey. What's on your mind?

The female echidna paused briefly, took a deep breath, and added;

Sky: Why do you love me?

Sonic: Huh? What kinda question is that?!

Sky: I need to know! I don't understand what it is that you see in me...
After all, I'm nothing but a former henchman of the Doctor's, cloned from ancient remains, given amazing powers for all the wrong reasons. I am nothing but a monster! ... A liability!

Sky was about to walk away from the area when all of a sudden, Sonic raced infront of her & grabbed her arms so she could not walk any further.

Sonic: Where's all of this come from!? You must be crazy to think that...

Before he could finish his sentence, Sky suddenly wrapped her arms around him, tightly yet emotionally.

Sonic, having never seen the female echidna so upset before, pulled her close and hugged her tenderly.
He looked down at her, he could see tears forming in her pale blue eyes.

Sonic: You wanna know why I love you? Well, it's not just because you're smart, kind, loyal, tough, extremely hot...!

Sky: ... Sonic...

Sonic: ... I can't explain why I love you in detail, Sky. I can however say to you that I don't care about your 'other life', or the fact that you used to be Eggman's slave... None of that matters anymore!

All that matters now is that we both share the same feelings for each other, and that we commit to each other!
I know that I love you with all my heart, and I sure hope you feel the same way about me....
