Very beautiful subject. This photograph has very good lighting and excellent composure. The color of the background complements the skin tones of the subject. The contemplative posture leaves the viewer to imagine what the subject might be thinking. Perhaps morning the loss of a former lover? Is she enveloped in prayer after making a grueling pilgrimage with no material possessions? I hope to see more work involving this subject. Hopefully this critique will provide some encouragement so that you will want to post again soon. What camera gear and lighting equipment was used for this shot? The website strips out the EXIF tag.

It is always interesting to wonder why a particular picture made you stop and write a critique.
First, there is no doubt that the technical quality of the picture is great; the quasi academic composition, the warm setting, the contrast between the sandstone and the skin...
But what brings this picture one step higher is obviously the model. The lighter hue of her skin in the redder background, the submissive pose, a sense of fatality that emanates from her face and expression, a sad resignation towards something that is certain to happen soon.
What this might be? Well, now it is your turn to start wondering...

You are welcome. I see from others' comments that the general feeling that emanates from this picture is introspection, mourning, submission, contemplation, submission and sadness... Some quite different words for what is, to me, a rather similar perception... Great shot again !!

Excelente foto.
Buen manejo de contraste de fondo con la modelo, adecuando trabajo de luz y sombra que permite ver la profundidad y volumen de la modelo aunque se puede mejorar aún así cumple la función de verse 3D.
Muy bella pose que acentúa las curvas de la modelo y expresión muy adecuada a la introspección que generan este imponente lugar, si bien me gusta mucho creo que también podría mostrar su rostro en 3/4 adecuándose a la vista del cuerpo.
Muy buen manejo de proporción aurea, realmente este es un punto muy importante en toda toma.
Y que decir de la modelo, uffff muy hermosa ;D muack! me tiene perdidamente enamorado ;D

First off you have and absolutely amazing photo here. There is just something about it that feels primal and yet so much more. It is easily one of the better pictures I have seen to date. The location is great. I mean you can never go wrong with The Valley of Fire. You look great in this. I love the slightly down cast expression and the submissive posture. I think I would have made you more of the star of the photo, but that is really the only thing I would have done diffrently. It definatly makes me wonder why the person in the image is so sad.

I greatly enjoy this piece. You chose your setting and position very well. There are many different interpretations one can take away from this image. Your expression is interesting in the way that there is no one pure emotion. In fact there seems to be an absence of all emotions. Oddly enough the part of this work I can't manage to take my eyes off of is your hair. The highlights contrast well with the brown and the red tones of the rock make them pop out. The mixture of colors is beautiful.
