This is more supposed to be an after-the-fact thing, where an actual mushroom appears, or Sokka has a full-on hallucination that he's hugging. And the sleeves is a continuity error I'm not about to fix. The picture wasn't originally planned to be in the desert, but I needed a better reference back to the episode. How about the background is a hallucination too?
