My take on a Beforan Kanaya. منقذ means "savior" in Arabic, and even in this timeline the Maryam manages to help out the mutant on the team.I don't know much about Arabic myself, but it does tie into my headcanons for the Maryams. Feel free to correct me if I am misrepresenting anything.

Oh my gosh I also just realised that Maryam is also an Arabic name! (It's the Arabic form of Mary, as in the virgin Mary - which is also very fitting for the Maryams since they're all very motherly towards the Vantas's who are like the Jesus figures. I can't believe I am only now seeing all this! 80

And I did a doubletake when I saw the title and thought "wait is that Arabic?" (Arabic is my native language!) Got excited for a second thinking I'd found another Arab Homestuck fan haha. XD
Tbh I know the word منقذ pronounced as "munqidh", not "munaqadh", and it's a male term; seeing as Kanaya's a girl you'd want the female version - which would normally be منقذة "munqidha" (there, eight letters!) except when I searched it just now it doesn't seem to be a word. XD Guess I'll have to ask my parents later to make sure.
Edit: okay the arabic words are showing up as gibberish on my phone for some reason, so I guess you'd have to look at them on a computer
