Thanks to the fact that NuclearJackal made me watch a load of Studio Ghibli movies when he was visiting me in July, among them Spirited Away, I was inspired to make a load of little Soot Sprites
The sprites are made from fluffy black yarn, and are around 6 cm in diameter, including the fluff (excluding the fluff the blobs are around 2 cm in diameter).
The eyes are sewn-on googly eyes. The "star candy" is Lucky Stars made from folded paper, can't leave these little derps without food, can I?

Apparently they're also in the movie My Neighbor Totoro, but I haven't seen that movie, so I only refer to Spirited Away ^^

I just saw princess mononoke don't know if its called that in english too but its the german title and this movie is so wonderful, mostly because I love wolves and the music is so wonderful^^
what I think is MUCH too creepy for a kids movie is "the Plague Dogs" and "watership down" both movies free for 6-year old kids and both NOT for kids I think

I've seen Watership Down too, and yeah, I totally agree that it's very brutal for a kids' movie O.o I watched it last summer, I'm glad I never saw it when I was younger xD It creeped me out even when I was 18 when I watched it : P Same with some scenes from Spirited Away xD

I saw the Watership down as I was 7 Years old!!
Saw it in a store where you could borrow movies over a weekend and I wanted to see it because of the cute bunnies and I had nightmares for months
But I really managed to watch the whole movie!
normally when I'm scared or so because of a movie I watch that movie years later again to see if it was really that scary or if I was just a pussy
but in this case, thats NOT a kids movie
same with "the plague dogs" I mean the two dogs in the movie escapes from a laboratory for animal Experiments, when a movie start this way, showing tortoured animals it can't be for kids
