We need a new Literature CV!Volunteer Opening for Literature CV (or two)
This week I was getting some odd messages on Linked In. There were people congratulating me for a work anniversary So I investigated a little and realised my time as a volunteer on dA was celebrating. Turns out I have been doing this for 8 years (we will ignore the gap years)!
When I think about my first experiences joining the CV team, I need to start with where I was before I joined. I wanted to be part of that team so badly, but "wanting to be" and being the "right person for that moment in time" are different things. It is a bit like a job interview- you can answer all the questions, but there
A personal note: I'm being a little flippant and offhand above as is my nature, but let me also be clear. It is with absolute sincerity that I say that people in the Literature community on Deviantart are among the finest I've encountered anywhere, and a lot of those people rotate through the ranks of Community Volunteers and the CRLiterature group administration. Collectively, the Literature community here does not cease to amaze and inspire me, both through the quality of its writing, and through the enthusiasm of its teamwork.
Unfortunately, my own brief time as a CV was not a good fit for reasons that had nothing to do with the community, but I'm more than happy to be involved in other ways. This place is home, these people - YOU - are family. I encourage you to dive in as deep as you are able.
