Description
There was a Gataka track with this name actually. So it's the filename of the picture and I couldn't think of anything else for a title right now, and besides, it's cool.This one's almost by request by someone who thinks Marty's a cool character and wanted to see him in a finished picture again.
Tools: Photoshop, Apophysis (some of the stars are actually rendered with fractals, but they're not the more visible ones; the obviously fractal shapes are obviously rendered with it too)
2 photos copyright to NASA as far as I remember, got them a long time ago- the spiral galaxy and the Orion Nebula.

Well, when I made him, he had both wings identical, but as his lifepath progressed, his left one was completely mauled by a demon and after that he got a prosthesis from some cybernetic guys (yes, not high fantasy setting)

I have some older pics, he looked almost nothing like he does now.
He's a Slayer- he hunts down (mostly)demons and feeds on their essence. In the process he gains features similar to theirs in their preferred physical form. The features aren't exact copies of the certain demon's but are shaped in the slayer's fashion, serving similar functions. The more demonic essence he consumes, the more powerful he becomes and continues his transformation (not necessary as a result of adding esence, he "evolves" his form naturally when he gains energy).
So far he's changed his legs (added some more "springiness" compared to his older humanoid version), added a tail (can impale and grab objects), added a pair of horns (no direct practical use, but it actually helps fool some demonic (and other sapient) creatures he's one of them)and changed his remaining wing.
Originally ever since his emergence in a chosen physical form the wing holds mysterious symbols and data on its feathers that is mostly unreadable even to him but the parts that are deciphered say something about the structure of some objects in the universe. New data is slowly added there. Now the symbols are more difficult to spot due to the galaxies that are visible on the feathers. The wing is now some sort of a "window" in space. Also, he transformed the feathers in blades that grow and crystallize. Damaged and lost blades regrow. He uses his bladed wing to stab (very nasty effect when he aligns the feathers close and opens them after he stabs- like a scissors katar) and the metal wing to block.

wow this is acutaly quite beautiful. The anatomy is lovely. I love the colours on the skin. The galaxy in the wings make it so prettiful. The hair is lushes especialy on the tail. I like how the tatts glow. This fellow has everything happening. Nice work

About those consonants- the language (Bulgarian) is written in Cyrillic where there are letters for "sh" and "sht", and the letter "u" is pronounced only as "you", which is not a consonant, but in Latin "u" is pronounced also like "uh", a consonant, which is a different Cyrillic letter which people write the same way in Latin, so if you don't know the language and try to pronounce the writing there mught be difficulties.

Hmmmm that's odd that there's no reply button at EW....perhaps it's a glitch with private comments. It is tagged as 'edit' though.
Well technically the Latin 'u' can also be pronounced like a 'v'- the symbols are the same and some modern reproductions use both letters and then some only use the 'u' (it's not that hard to figer out which letter it's refering to- especially if there are two 'u's in a row like seruus=slave).
I have absoloutly no experience with cyrillic alphabets- I think Russian's tuaght at my Uni. But my experince with modern language teaching is that it's very confusing. Give me a dead language any day- atleast then they lay out the grammer rules plain and simple infront of you.

Well damn, I couldn't get it through the mods in EW... but at least it's still in the extranet, not totally deleted. I forgot how tricky it is to get some stuff there... The problem's in the NASA photos, as you might imagine.
I also managed to post you a reply comment there, found out how to make the 'save" button remain visible.

Yeah sometimes the rules are a little pedantic...but atleast it makes sure solen art isn't passed of and such (though the mods are not infalible) and keeps the picture presentable. But the good thing about rules is trying to subvert them, the genre ones in particular. I had a friend get a picture of an ordinary onion uploaded becuase it had an adequate description explaining the fantasy elements.
You'll get the picture through next time- I'd love to see it get MC'd too (can't garuntee that though, I reckon some of the mods are a little stingy at times *glares*).

Yeah my mom often asks me why I don't upload to EW so I mentioned that about the rejection today and she said that in EW description is what matters most. I had a picture of Terror rejected because of "no fantasy elements" as I hadn't mentioned that he's a dual form shapeshifter in human form and that the other person on the picture is an ice mage... (Well I thought the ice cube she's leaning at near an active volcano is a sure sign)

I'm living something like 2 or 3,000km away at almost the other end of the country and I only get a weekly email worth of contact (if that) with my family. I am indeed looking forward to seeing them and in less than a fortnight.

Nah, my mom is just too curious about what I do... And since our family's apartment is in the center of the capital of the country, I don't have to go far to get to any important buildings... many of the folks in university now live far from their homes and relatives but I'm just lucky.

You are lucky....Unless I'd stayed at home and gone to Uni there which I wouldn't have as a) they have a poor reputation and b) they don't have archaeology I'd have been a long way from home anyway. I envy the poeple who can nip back up to Sydney for the weekend where as I will only go back for the major holidays.

You can understand the general meaning, except for the words that sound the same but mean absolutely different things. Two of the most bizzare differences are "underwear" in Russian that sounds like "mother" in Bulgarian, and "butterfly" in Russian that can be mistaken for "granny" in Bulgarian
