Okay so since this is in the critique folder, I'll give it a go:
If you want your cats to look more realistic, lose the bangs.ย
I think that there also needs to be a rounder shape when you're considering his back/rump. If you study real cats, you'll see that it is full.
I like you pattern for him, however! The face looks fine for the style you're going for.
