Camera cases are ugly! So I designed and made my ownIt fits my new Canon Rebel camera quite nicely. *pets*
Canvas exterior and cotton lining
Foamy layer and supportive bottom for protection
Adjustable strap
Zipper pocket (Which I am very proud of. I hate zippers.)
Magnetic snap
Not sure if I like the bow or not....

Hummmm I'm in sewing this year in school, and I TOTALLY want to make myself a camera bag, is there any way you can give me pointers?
I'm not sure how I'm going to go about getting a pattern.... But I'm positive I want to make one just like this! :3

Hmm well first I would start with making some sketches of your design and how it will accommodate your camera or any other accessories. Next I made the pattern taking into account camera measurements, seam allowance and any padding you want to use. If this is your first time sewing you might want to check out the fabric store for some premade patterns first to get a feel for how to put something simple together first. Then you can go crazy and modify it however you like

Yeeeeah, I'm not a strong seamstress (yet!) I spoke with my teacher, and we agreed that if I bought a pattern for a diper bag, then added extra padding, it might work out! What do you think?

That sounds like a great idea. A diaper bag should give you all the compartments you'll need. I don't know how big your camera is but you might be able to adjust the pattern to a custom fit by reducing or enlarging the pattern pieces on a photocopy machine.

Hopefully, I'm so nervous. Hee hee. Umm. How much like... liner/padding did you use to pad the camera. My camera is SUPER heavy, so should I use more?

I think the foam was about half an inch thick. I padded all sides of the case and put a heavy piece of cardboard in the bottom to hold its shape. This works for me and I have a canon rebel dslr camera.
