And while Oscar got the privilege of having freedom women were forbidden to have, she couldn't truly live as a woman since her father raised her to be a boy and was harsh on her to remember what he raised her to become as his heir.

And when she see's Marie Antoinette and how she has to be confined in a palace and in a loveless marriage where her only joy was her children and where she can't be with the man she truly loves, it reminds Oscar of what her life would become had her father decided to raise her as a girl.

Oscar and Marie Antoinette are definitely two sides of the same coin, while different they live lives they are forced to live.
