I thinks that their cousins are here Kathy dear feeding on us also! Β  I saw a wildlife documentary explaining how pigeons are most perfectly adapted to scavenge from people also bring airplanes down thank goodness there are birds of prey out to get them!

They used to release hawks so they'd hunt pigeons. Once one of them landed on our window!

that would be a fine occupation! Official falconer at the airport they do exist in this country so I imagine in Russia also and other major airports around the world 'Bird Strike' can be a deadly accident for a jet airliner or any jet aircraft Β to have one land on your window is a rare event? maybe it was confused by the reflections

yes they do! but it seems they are getting bolder or hungrier as before the two varieties would not mix often if at all Β  but both are doves the light and dark Β collared and rock ... wood pigeons are larger again but don't get them hereΒ

the boldest in my back garden is the young blackbird which sits under the gooseberry bush as I put seed into the feeder ... then straight in for those fallen onto the ground! I lean on the waste bin to watchΒ

Yes the Blackbird will come into my front door and porch ...also searching for seed fallen on the floor ... sometimes I come from around the back garden, and have to wait while it leaves from the porch .. times like that its like a birdcage inside for me!
