Description
I decided to "get serious" and use a tripod (I know, my bad) to see if I could improve my chances of catching these chickadee's exit from their nest (a hole in a dead limb.) Both parents come and go with food (frequently the same kind of bug or worm.) Almost always one stays at the nest while the other is out foraging but when one flies in I suspect it's the other that is leaving, (maybe it is just my imagination.) Anyway ... they rarely pause, especially upon exiting. I was getting some good shots but I wanted one that really nailed it and I think this one did. So much for persistence. I've also been exploring higher ISO settings.
