Another sketch from last year. completed it today out of boredom. It's a character from Tilism-e-Hoshruba. Prince Asad. He beats up people and steals their food (he's supposed to be one of the good guys
) This sketch is based on the following paragraph...Gulshan left with the plaintiffs and upon reaching the bazaar beheld a comely youth sitting on a bench in the middle of the throroughfare. His beauty was the envy of the Moon Of Canaan. He wielded a sword in one hand and ate sweets with the other. (there's another paragraph describing his 'resplendent beauty' I think I'll stop here.
And they sent a sorceress to apprehend him. That didn't work out to well.
Hmm, don't like the composition... too scattered and it's hard to read? The lines are too heavy and flat :/ Will scrap eventually.

Yay for messy sketchyness! I like the textures and colour, and the composition too actually. I think removing one or two of the killed gaiz would be enough to clear it up..

The girl is just about to cast a spell on him and take him prisoner when he makes a face (oldest trick in the book). She gets distracted, he seizes the opportunity ties her to a pole and goes back to his sweets again
