Fallout 3, in the metro tunnel.Not sure if I'm happy with this one, lots of little annoying mistakes.... but i suppose it was good practice.
Also, I am fully aware that the ghoul blends in heaps with the background.... camouflage?
I love the idea that the ghoul could be from before the bombs fell and has been there ever since.

loos great! i remember putting on the old radiation suit , and cleaning up the tunnels with my trusty scoped 44. , i was terrified on my first visit of course, but after i gained more experience i went back to seek revenge

i never did get the unscoped version, but i came to realise i liked the scoped better, oh and the backwater rifle , that was cool, fired the same ammo if i remember correctly

I looked at this picture and it instantly brought me back to first metro. Oh man that made me stop playing for about a week I was so terrified. It was also due to the fact I suck at this game. I fought my first feral ghouls here and it was thanks to a chain link fence that I didn't get mauled to death.

Ah the good ol' chain fence eh? Yeah, i remember when i first found ghouls, I was having a good time until i came across a feral roamer, IT JUST WOULDN'T DIE!!!

I haven't found one of those yet, but I'm still at a low level. Did you end up running away, or did you finally end up decorating the wasteland with it's insides?

Its a ghoul thats a bit tougher than the others. I was running but it decorated the wasteland with MY insides. gah!

I'm sure it won some sort of landscaping/exterior design award for that amongst his ghoulish friends.
Ha, great. I'm so doomed. Oblivion was never this hard for me. VATS does a lot to help me not die, though.

Yeah i imagine they stood around admiring the energy of the splatters and the controversial use of intestines 
And VATS will save you. Many times.
Also, hunting rifle to the ghouls head seems to work well, try it!

It does seem to work, if I can get a clear shot at them. My characters main weapon was a pistol until she ran out of bullets and then started using a Chinese rifle. Yeah, after that she found it fun to shoot things... until she stumbled upon a lair of super mutants... they aren't as nice to fight as Ghouls.

Oh they are. I saw my life flash before my eyes when a super mutant overlord was towering over me with a very large hammer and no vats left to save me... oh man metro's are not the place for me

You could try running all the way back to megaton? If it follows you, let the town deal with it
Also beware of deathclaws, i am now a reasonably high level and it still takes 50 phycho's and my most badass weapon (from a distance) to get rid of it!

hell yes, i found a deathclaw long before i ran into my fist mutant, heres how it went down
- what the hell is that?, oh at least theres its behind a fence, walks round corner,
- oh crap theres a hole in the fence

Really? My first death-claw experience was as thus:
"Oh a new town I havent been in before! What the devil are those lizard things? i'll go say hel-"

ouch, and yeah i thought it was odd, i wandered off to the North
(default for me on open world, i head tot he north east corner and work my way out)
and i was probably lucky to get out that far withput being killed by a scorpian or some wild animal
so long story short i stumbled across the republic of dave and i had a short glimpse of old olney before an untimely death

Wow! You're very good at portraying the Fallout 3 feel. I admire you muchly
As for the critique... Maybe you could bring the ghoul out a bit more by simply placing him a bit closer to the foot of the stairs. And then drop some shadows underfoot. Dunno? Maybe even with his back to the rear of the bench just behind the trash can.

Ah excellent! There was originally more to the bottom of the page so the ghoul did look further back, but I stuffed it up so had to get rid of it, ah well, lesson learned

Yeah that would've sorted that glitch out. But if there's one thing that's better than a good picture, that's a good picture with a lesson learned
