i got a request for bro/john and dad/dave and i thought it'd be fun to actually look at the relationships. i had a headcanon that dad would kind of take in dave like a second son and dave thinks he's the raddest the dad ever because he bakes him cakes for every birthday and they're not of the smuppet variety.

but interestingly enough i don't think john is as keen on dave's guardian and long uncomfortable nights on the strider couch with dave aren't exactly bitchin.
