NEG Intimidating, wrathful, domineering, resenting
Aurelius is a man of virtue, through and through. As you'd expect from someone such as himself, he has high standards for morality and ethics. It's natural for him to favor goodness above all else. He practices it daily and lectures about its importance often. This makes him out to be forthright about his opinions and beliefs. He possesses a conservative mindset and he's unsurprisingly adamant about it. Aurelius was raised on a religious settlement that heavily values tradition, which has influenced his general attitude. With the stubbornness of a Mubray, he's not keen on changing anytime soon. Although most would find his towering size intimidating, they'll come to realize that Aurelius has a heart of gold. He's extremely warmhearted and it shows well through not only his disposition, but his actions as well. He expresses kindness and compassion towards all forms of life. Although, there's the exception of a few that have wronged him.
Of course, not everyone is perfect all around. Aurelius may be a man of god, but he carries flaws that he's rightfully ashamed of. There's a different side to him that many would find shocking and in some cases, disturbing. Behind that heart of gold everyone has come to know and love is a sticky, black mass full of wrath. Aurelius has an unruly temper that'll switch on in an instant at any moment. Anyone who has wronged him will get a proper taste of this man's burning fury. He's quick to change his behavior whenever they're around. He'll come off as bitter and callous, unafraid to express his disdain towards him. As someone who is domineering, he will browbeat an individual if he feels that it's necessary. After all, he knows best. If he's betrayed or worse, he'll form a grudge that'll lost for long periods of time. His stubbornness only fuels this further, making it difficult for anyone to get him to come around. His wrath is unwavering and unrelenting, which he takes no pride in.

Hometown: Southwell Village, Emerald
- Southwell is a farming village nestled comfortably on the grassy plains of Emerald, which can be found southwest of Everstone City. The settlement is home to a tight-knit community that holds a strong attachment to their traditional customs and values. The adamant people of Southwell are extremely religious, entrusting their faith onto almighty Arceus. When they aren't tending to their farms and selling their goods to the local market, a majority of its villagers will pay a regular visit to the grand church. Banding together as a group, they worship their lord and bond with one another over their shared belief.
EARLY LIFE
Aurelius was born in Southwell, a religious settlement southwest from Everstone City. His parents are highly respected members of a tight-knit community. Philip was widely known as the head priest of their village. Being granted with such a saintly role came with a number of responsibilities, such as overseeing his sacred duties and the grand church itself. This made him out to be quite the busy man! Of course, he didn't mind it whatsoever. Philip was carrying out his lord's will and that alone was rewarding enough. Judith, on the other hand, was more than your average "stay-at-home" wife. She had important tasks that went beyond simple housework! People relied on her for organizing events for the church. She hosted gatherings, fundraisers, and so much more. You named it and she took care of it lickity-split. This made the couple equally diligent in their work, making them valued within their community.
For years, the couple struggled with having a child. They desperately wanted to settle down and bask in the wonders of parenthood together. However, every attempt they made turned out to be a heartbreaking disappointment. Though it brought strain upon their relationship, the two always worked out their troubles to the best of their abilities. They didn't want to give up on each other and they definitely didn't want to give up on their potential child. Despite having little to no luck with the pregnancy, they continued trying and pushed through their hardships together. Soon enough, the couple's prayers were answered and they were blessed with a beautiful boy that shared his father's winter coat. The two celebrated their newborn son's birth and named him "Aurelius" after Philip's great grandfather.
CHILDHOOD
Aurelius grew up to be a curious and cheerful child. Being raised around many warmhearted people, he was influenced to behave in a similar way. The boy was in a constant state of awe at the world around him. In spite of the fact that his hometown was smaller than most settlements, it was as lively and whimsical as any other. With that being said, his attention hardly stayed in one place. He'd be around one minute and suddenly disappear the next. He was far too eager to simply sit still. Even if such behavior was expected of a child his age, it raised concerns in his parents nonetheless. Aurelius was their only child and they were afraid he'd hurt himself if his curiosity got the best of him. This lead to frequent scolding, which slowly evolved into punishments resulting in grounding. He barely understood why it bothered his parents so much. All he wanted to do was explore and marvel at his surroundings! What's so wrong with that? Eventually, he shaped up as he got older and learned how to control himself.
Much like any other child in his village, his childhood was fairly normal for the most part. His days usually consisted of helping his parents with the church or taking care of his school work. When the young fox wasn't busy, he would use his free time to indulge in his favorite books or practice piano with his mother. His life wasn't completely eventful, but he wouldn't dare ask for anything more than this. After all, this was the card Arceus had dealt him with. Why would he reject a gift that was rightfully given to him by his own lord? Aurelius was taught appreciate everything as it was and so, he was thankful for his painfully mundane life. Though a majority of his days blurred together, the boy was able to keep himself busy most of the time.
ADOLESCENCE
Aurelius knew everyone in Southwell, all thanks to the grand church. It's what brought their whole community together as one. It allowed the villagers to bond over a shared faith, which was almighty Arceus. Being there every day of the week, it gave him the opportunity to learn about each person there. Be it their names, what they do for a living, etcetera. He could recall his father stressing the importance of bonding with his fellow people. It was destined for the boy to take over as head priest like those in his family before him. People were going to entrust their faith in him when the time would come, which made it extremely necessary to begin with. He didn't quite understand at first, but he came to realize what his father meant as years went on. He started to focus on gaining the trust of others and along the way, he managed to form a special relationship with someone in particular.
It was none other than Destiny Flint. He was an Eevee that happened to be six years younger than Aurelius and shared a coat unusually similar to his own. He found it quite peculiar, considering how he never saw anything like it before from someone of his species. Destiny came from a family of devoted churchgoers, which meant they visited on a regular basis. Both of their parents were close friends and expected their children to get along, which they naturally did. When his attention wasn't required elsewhere, he'd keep the young boy company. Aurelius would entertain him in a multitude of ways, such as; playing the church's organ, telling stories, and engaging in a variety of games. The two gradually grew closer the more time they spent together. Eventually, they saw each other as brothers. They weren't blood-related, but they might as well have been with the bond they shared.
By the time he turned fifteen, his father believed that it was time for Aurelius to undergo early training to become a priest. Philip had taken his son under his wing and introduced him to a world of religious teachings. It didn't take long for him to develop an interest in these lessons, seeing that he was practically raised in the grand church. The boy became invested as time went on, which pleased his father to see him embracing the training with such ease. Again, years passed and life became a blur once more. Days were meshed together with balancing school work and training. Not to mention the daily chores that were given out by his mother. The only eventful moment to have happened from that point on was evolving at eighteen. Other than that, everything else was the same. At the age of twenty-one, the young man completed his training and became a priest. His parents, especially his father, were proud to see their son following in the footsteps of their ancestors. A celebration was thrown for the turning of a new chapter in their son's life: priesthood.
ADULTHOOD
Aurelius became quite content with his life as a priest. Much like his father, he proudly carried out his duties. He found joy in preaching, providing spiritual direction, and so much more. Five years pass and he starts to feel as though what he's doing isn't enough, however. He believes he could be doing more than this. There must be lost souls outside of his village that could use the lord's guidance. All they need is someone to point them in the right direction and that could be him! He quietly ponders on it for a while before mustering enough courage to propose the idea to Philip. The moment he mentions leaving Southwell, his father is quick to shoot down the idea. He states that he's needed here and not anywhere else. With enough persuasion, he manages to convince Philip to let him go. If it meant creating more followers and potentially bringing new members to the church, then he might as well allow it.
A couple members from the church are assigned to accompany Aurelius during his travels, one of them being Destiny. After taking the time to prepare, the group bids their final farewells and leave their hometown for an inspiring journey. He never stepped foot outside of Southwell until this very moment. The world felt so much bigger than he imagined, which only added onto the excitement. They traveled the lands together, stopping from one settlement to the next. The group made it their mission to spread the word of their lord. In addition to that, they offered help to those who sought it. They would lend a hand to fellow churches, families, and struggling individuals. This journey opened Aurelius' eyes and he grew to love what he was doing. For the next four years, the group continued with their travels and returned home for Christmas each year.
THE DISASTER
Destruction befell their beloved region on September 12th, 1915. The disaster struck when the group least expected it, catching them off guard completely. Despite most of them being separated during the chaos, Aurelius was fortunate enough to keep Destiny at his side. They take cover in a cave together to wait this odd "storm" out. Aureus could only wonder what could've possibly caused this. Could it have been his lord? If so, what angered him enough to wreak havoc across the land? His mind was cluttered with stressful thoughts. In an attempt to comfort himself, he began to pray as they sat tight. As soon as it all settled, they set off to find the others. Their companions were nowhere to be seen. They were distraught by their disappearance, and rightfully so. The two hoped that they made it out alive.
Concerned for the overall state of Southwell, they immediately make their way back. Though the journey was painstakingly long, they manage to make it in one piece. Much to the duo's dismay, their home was completely totaled. A majority of the buildings were torn down and not many people were there, including their loved ones. Where were they? Southwell was like a ghost town. Surprisingly, they found a few that were stubborn enough to push through the disaster and stick around. They decided to stay for a while, keeping the remaining villagers company and helping the lot of 'em back to their feet. After several months, they resume their travels and wander the lands together. During their journey, they hear about the guild in Everstone and their purpose. They wanted to save the region and bring it back to its former glory. Having perked the pair's interests, they head on over to Everstone City in hopes of joining their guild. Not only will they help the region and its people, but perhaps they'll find their loved ones along the way too.
