Description I had noticed that the swirling water receding back from the sand was reflecting the colours from the sky. Use of a ND grad allowed me to retain highlights in the sky with a 5s exposure at f/13, that blurred the waves to a misty mass and also captured the coloured reflections on the wet sand.
