Ultra Magnus as a Quintesson gladiator slave.This image has been stuck in my head for some time... I just never had time to work on it. But since I'm now laid up with a dislocated vertebrae, I've had nothing but time to work on it because I'm not allowed to do anything else!
Anyway, way back in the 90's, when I did some attempts at fan-fic writing, Ultra Magnus was a Quintesson gladiator slave in my little universe. This is what he looked like when an Autobot raiding party found him in a slave camp.
BTW, if anyone is looking at this and all your seeing is nearly all black and can't see much detail, please let me know. On my laptop the image looks perfect but on our desktop computer with the old CRT monitor it is WAY too dark. I don't know if it's the image itself or if our monitor needs calibrating. Please let me know, it would be much appreciated.

This is cool. Post what you have of the story then if you want fill in whats missing at your own pace. I for one think your idea is a good one.

I'm glad you love the photo. I am trying to recover the files of the stories I wrote so long ago. I had some printed hard copies but they are incomplete and it's been so long I don't remember all the pieces... I may have to rewrite some of it to post it... May be a long process.

Wow this is really good! The detail down to the shortcurcuits is great! It is very clear on this monitor. Ours is a flatscreen Dell. Hope you draw some others like this.

I had to go before getting a better look at this yesterday. The sheer level of detail is amazing. Seriously an awesome piece of transformers artwork. It shows up great on mine, but I use a Mac (waves off the boos and screeches) The subtle lighting effects are sweet. I especially like the way you did the hands and their positioning.
*Sigh* Why is it that the fan's show more love than the people making money...

That is absolutely amazing~ I mean, my heart just about broke to see Magnus like that, but at the same time it was amazing to see him looking so dark. The atmosphere of the pic is just breath-taking~ Wicked pic!

Wow....This is amazing! It's so powerful...makes me sad. The lighting looks just fine on my laptop, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. I like the coloring and the brightness of the 'chains,' his optics, and the exposed circuits is just awesome! The storyline sounds very interesting. Do you have it up anywhere?

Glad you like it. The point was for it to be dark but there is such discrepancy between LCD monitors and the old CRTs that I had to try and find a happy middle so it would look good on both. The original looked just like I wanted it on our LCD but the CRT in the office it was practically ALL black!

Still; this looks really cool. And the Quints are definetly mean enough to do this to a mech. And they're ugly. heh. Ya know, maybe they're so mean because they're so ugly.

Heh. Very possible. I think however that they are mean because they have decided that results, whether experiment results or business transactions, are more important than how they were achieved. "The ends justifies the means." At least, that's how I always interpreted them.
