Description I came up with the idea behind this drawing while I was lumbering around in my house a couple of weeks ago.

I've been visiting a doctor who specializes in applying chi as a form of medicine. I totally didn't believe the stuff was real (I thought it was just something cool that people in china came up with. And something that appears in old chinese flicks.) before I went to see him.
Other than doing some major (and awesome) healing and curing, he also taught me some stuff about chi.
Apparantly there are two types of chi - yin and yang. Yin comes up from the earth, is the gentle energy, and enters through the soles of your feet. Yang comes from the sun, is the strong energy, and enters most easily through the back of your hand (so if you're ever sun-tanning, do it in the super-man pose). Yin is often associated with things like dark, negative, and calm, while yang is associated with bright, positive, and powerful.

Aaand so basically I decided to draw a yin wolf and a yang wolf snuggled together in harmony. I also tried to position them so that they resembled the yin-yang symbol.

This piece was first done in light pencil, then in color pencil. The yang wolf consists of approximately four colors (not including the mouth. That was probably around four as well), and the yin wolf consists of approximately seven.
