I recommend learning how to draw animals and humans before drawing anthros. It's always a good idea to know the anatomy of both species.

...awwww...but drawing anthros is sooo much more interesting than just drawing animals...lol....I can draw people pretty good so I'm half way there.....if I could draw like this person I think I could die happy... [link]

Well I find it helps to know both human and animal anatomy to effectively combine the two. Too often, anthros are just really hairy people with tails and animal heads stuck on their shoulders, and their bodies are pretty much interchangeable. I like anthro designs with physiques that mimic that of the animal they're based off of- like an anthro ferret with a long, lanky body and short limbs, or an anthro skunk with a roundish, stumpy build.
