Description CorumbΓ‘ Falls - an amazing place. always fun to hike around and enjoy the lush green scenery, scouting for orchids and other exotic flowers.

This photo was taken without a tripod. I just rested my hand on a rock and held the shutter down for about 2-3 seconds to get the long-exposure "soft" look on the water. It's hard to do in full daylight, so i set the f-stop higher to compensate for over-exposure.

I worked hard to get a composition that would capture the falls in an interesting way. Hope you enjoy it.

I think somebody needs to buy you a tri-pod... in every picture I've looked at, you've mentioned the NOT use of a tri-pod hahaha.

Yeah, I dont have one. Would be nice to use one, especially one of those mini-tripods that are very mobile.

I have one, but I only use it in low light situations..... I need to get out there and practice those long exposure shots that everyone does.... like waterfalls and car lights. I learned my lesson when I broke my brand new 500 dollar camera by setting it on a rock, and it fell. Thankfully Kodak replaced it back in the day, but they should have charged me. Now I'm VERY careful where I set my Canons

Anyway, your honeymoon pictures rock. I wish I had good ones.... We just celebrated our 2nd anniversary and I forgot to get a shot of us together! hahaha

The waterfall is nice and all, but I think what makes it stand out is defiently the subtle color differences of blue/brown.

Plus, I love the tones of colours, these pastel blue and orange/brown are stunning !
Congrats :clap

I didn't realise there was this many shots with the 'soft water' effect until tonight. It really is incredible how much it changes a shot so much from what it would have been. You've done really well with this one, having that small piece of rock and plant in the shot is excellent as it proves the shot is nice and focused. Congratulations on a great capture
