Description
Initial concept of the Red Knight for Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland".Obviously I had a very dark vision of the characters in the beginning of the project.
I'm pretty happy with the final design though.

I love the texture in that skin. The armour/skin looks vert organic and believable too, great job.
Do you use custom brushes to achieve that texture or overlap different texture maps?

This is a great design, would love to see how you research and come to your final conclusions, you seem very quick too, with all this work you have done, did you get accurate descriptions for what Burton wanted? your colour palette is very unique too

I'm currently trying to push my work to be more in the vein of film concept art. Getting that last push into proper realistic rendering, specifically the texture and proper contrast is so damn hard! I'll keep trying, you are definitely one of my main influences in that effort, man!

I'd love to do workshops, but unfortunately the professional as well as personal projects literally eat up all the time... Hopefully I can inspire if I just keep creating. Thanks for the interest though!
