The Tower of Arrovine was not built in a swamp, but it was not many decades before a swamp rose up around it. The tower has been passed from dark wizard to dark wizard and as a result of the centuries of experimentation the surrounding swamp has been populated with monstrous aberrations who prey upon any foolish enough to enter.
