what do you mean 3 shots? if it were 3 shots wouldn't it look layered? this looks like a single shot. and whats a hdr shot? forgive my ignorance but I'm not a photographer, just trying to understand this photograph. btw, I really like it!

Shake problem could be easily solved by software, but If you tilt your camera that's a tough luck.
