Description
Late Cretaceous Period (~67mya), IndiaAn abelisaurid theropod dinosaur found in the Lameta Formation. My image here might be a bit of a speculative departure from the dinosaur's typical environment, but one can imagine an individual may have wandered into uplands that fed the river systems in which fossils were eventually preserved.

On the departure from its "typical environment", keep in mind also that the fossil record gives us quite an incomplete view of the past. So things like this abelisaur, and all sorts of other prehistoric creatures of all sorts, could well have lived in a more diverse range of environments than what the fossil record shows us.
