This looks like Phidippus Audax, not Phidippus sp. I don't know for sure though.

Even when i was terrified of spiders I liked jumping spiders. I think it is the fur, big eyes, and the hopping; it makes them more mammalian looking. There is also the fact that they are almost always tiny that is very reassuring.

I don't know why I think it looks cuddly but it does, simply adorable . A very nice macro, fine details in the fangs (even red tips!) and black/yellow hair patterns. Those eyes look so alert and intelligent, jumping spiders sure are fantastic little creatures

Very beautiful shot, the detail is amazing and the colours are wonderful. The little cutie looks like it hunkered right down to get comfy for the shot. Were its fangs really that colour red? That wasn't added on?

What a cute bastard. It's not a wolfspider, though. It's called "jumping spider" in germany, but i'm not shure about the latin name. Wolf Spiders have completely different eyes, see here: [link] .. anyway
