Doesn't look like a shaymin in the slightest, too high up skirt, and why are there cat ears? There is no reason for them. I mark this as one of the many, MANY, fail gijinkas.

The drawing itself? Yeah, nothing wrong. But it was the concept.
I'd seen so many badly done gijinkas that day, and I was getting so sick of it. All of them were, as I said in another comment, either done horribly or too pink. So when I saw this, that last bit of tolerance I had was utterly crushed.

Yeah, I mean, every time I see a Shaymin Gijinka, it is usually screwed up pretty badly. There is only one Shaymin Gijinka in my favorites, because it actually nailed the Shaymin part. Plus, it was believable. This artwork just strikes me as "Didn't Do The Research" big time. Too many Shaymin Gijinkas out there that don't look like Shaymin in the slightest or are focusing on only the pink.

Agreed. It's sometimes hard to believe that any Gijinka of something IS what it's supposed to be of, but then again, that art was years old. They've improved a ton. And yeah, Shaymin is always about pink for some reason.

I understand that the art is a bit old, but the problem is that it just didn't look like a Shaymin because it wasn't really focusing on the Shaymin part.
To be honest, I swear most people doing the gijinkas don't care about the gijinkas even looking similar.

Not quite, I'll admit, but I don't use photoshop or anything to color my works, and I'll have to say that I'm trying to work on various styles. I just haven't attempted this style.

Nothing, I just don't use it to digitally enhance my drawings. I color traditionally, so my work takes longer and I have to study it very often in order to understand how to give the best effects for each drawing.
