This is a line art of a Mother Wolf with her mate, yes they seem sad. They're sad because their pup didn't survive. I drew this because, while I was playing the new Wolf Quest game one of my pups died from a bear. And I'm sitting thinking, "What would the parents reaction be?" So I got a piece of paper and started to draw. And now it's a line art. I traced over the lines in Micron pen (Which someone at my school stole)

I don't really intend to write a formal critique, so I'll just put my advice here. The biggest problems with this are the legs. The front legs of both characters are much too thick. The standing wolf (I'm assuming the standing one is the male) front leg also seems a bit too long. Wolves have fairly delicate looking legs even though they are considerably more stout than those of most other canids. The tails are also a bit too thick and fluffy for wolves, making them look a bit fox-like. The female's rear paw is placed strangely. It doesn't fit the position of the rest of her leg. Her rump seems to be sitting flat, but the bottom of her foot is facing the viewer. You seem to have gone for a pose like this: [link] when drawing the leg, but drawn the body with a pose like this: [link] .
Notice the difference in how the placement of their rear from the end of the ribcage down is different?
Other than that, I'd say the male's eyes are a bit too large for a wolf, since you seem to be going for a semi-realistic style here. Wolves have fairly small eyes compared to the rest of their head. The muzzles look pretty wolf-like, as do the ears, so no problems there, and aside from the fact that the feet are too big, they're very well drawn, and I'd say they're best part of the picture (or maybe I just think that because I always have trouble with feet).
Those are the big issues I can see. There are a few other little things with the faces, I'd suggest you take a look at these: [link] [link] to get a good idea of how to make them look best.

I find it easyer in wolfquest to let all but one pup die, that way it's not as hard to defend it and feed it. I try to save all my pups but I'll keep at least one right with me at all times.

I hate those bears! One time on wolf quest i was trying to chase it away from my den, then i died. But when I came back alive, my pups were gone! The health bar said that they were still there, and my mate was acting all crazy. Those darn bears....
