You just ruined outside for me, thanks. Kidding, this is really cool....Yes, and it reminds me of Slipknot. Just, the mask, it's really awesome. And the eyes that just seem to pop out, (mostly because blue smacks grey right in the face anyday) can frighten kids even more. The teeth make me grin, thanks for the laugh.
I like the cracks in the mask, like it's really old, or quickly made, and that adds another reason to fave it. Thanks.

Hey there, I was having a look through your gallery cause you replied to something I'd said in a forum and this picture just jumped out and smacked me in the face. I know it's over a year old but I was so drawn to it that I just had to comment. It reminds me of a million things, but the first one that jumped into my mind was the Gary Oldman's character, Mason Verger, in Hannibal. I think it's the eyes that remind me of that (he'd cut his own face off at Hannibal's request, in case you haven't seen the film)...so so creepy and chilling, with the same 'wide eyed' look. Or 'lack of eyelids' look.
It has hints of so many other things from so many horror movies and pictures...Jason's hockey mask, Leatherface's eyes, the archetypal sheep/goat's skull that represents the devil (the long mouth thing with the scary teeth). It's like every childhood nightmare rolled into one, which fits perfectly with the title, abusive parents being like the monsters in movies that you weren't allowed to watch but watched anyway, or like the things that hid in the shadows that you're told aren't real even though you see them. This works so well as a straight-up dark art horror picture, but also on a deeper level showing how abuse is hidden behind a mask while it's happening and makes you live behind a mask for the rest of your life.
I know you've set this at 'Advanced Critique Encouraged' but I can't think of anything critique-y to say. There's nothing about this that I don't like, or that I'd change. I would absolutely love to see the scary face dude against different backgrounds, maybe a grungey textured black background. OR, even better, see the whole body. My mind is buzzing with potential evil pictures now, and I'm going to have nightmares. If you've ever like to see scary mask dude featured in a bigger picture or against other backgrounds let me know cause I would LOVE to play with him.
