My entry for 's "Draw Me a Pokemon" contest for the week of February 25, 2013.

He's been training hard and is close to earning his wings as a Charizard, which is why there's a ghostly presence of wings behind him

I drew this when I was cooped up in a hotel for a night without internet - and thus without distractions or visual aids - so I let my imagination run wild. I hope he still looks like a Charmeleon
I'll try drawing a less-anthropomorphic Charmeleon some other time...when I have the time...
It was sort of hard to avoid making him anthropomorphic when the only visual aid I could get for the pose was my own reflection.

First Pokemon art colored entirely in Prismacolors. Still need to practice using them more effectively...

Materials: Prismacolor pencils on paper in a sketchbook given by
(just realized all materials used were gifts from other people that I've received in the past 4 months )
