Patient and silent, there is always an eerie feel when this stallion enters the ring. His bloodlines run thick with aggression and wickedness, and yet he seems stoic. Phlegethon will not usually deal the first blow, he is more prone to letting an enemy attack him. This allows him to get a feel for who or what he is dealing with, and though he may not always dodge the attack, he will learn what he needs to from it. Very quick on his feet, and harsh with his blows, the stallion will not hesitate to exploit weakness once found. His flames keep most of his main body safe, as few dare to face them. Keeping him light from armor and never losing a foe to shadows in the ring. If he finds himself stumped in ones techniques, he will often pace the ring and dodge attacks while calculating, or attempting to tire the horse out. Beserkers are his true disdain. No pattern, no strategy, no predicting. If Phlegethon is to strike a first blow, it will be as detrimental as he can make it. Often using his horn goads or bracers to ruin shoulders, legs, or flanks. A slower opponent is an easier opponent. If, however, he does not land a blow, he will return to his usual tactic of letting his foe attack him until he finds a time and place to land a blow.

He is not a gorer like his lineage would suggest, but rather a very too-the-point fighter. Every blow he lands, counts largely and will only ever take a few to knock a horse into the dirt. Once an opponent is downed, he will usually tear a piece from their flesh and consume it, no more than a bite though. Its an odd practice, but he will usually leave an opponent once it is done.

If an opponent, however, ends up having to be pulled due to their condition, he will stand politely and watch them be pulled out of the ring.
