I'm just surprised that Martin Spivak turned out to be a real character and not just someone Buster invented in his vivid imagination . . . though, I can't help but wonder if the folks on the show made him an actual character intentionally since Martin Spivak ended up becoming something of a meme with fans, and the show really has been pandering to the base quite a bit lately. Maria Speaks? Bud taking off his hat (and that was to please one fan who had an obsession with seeing Bud take his hat off? The too-short-to-ride-the-ride story that won the Facebook contest?
