Developed in the year 2176 early in the Mandar war (known as "The 1st Interplanetary War" on earth). Designed as hybrid of alien and earth technology to, up grade, replace and standardize the side arms of the recently unified forces of humanity. The "C" Model shown here is the most common and wide spread M2176 type. The "A" type had an arm or leg tethered battery pack, the type "B" had a propitiatory in handle energy clip. This "C" type has both the in handle E-clip and the standard United Planetary States small arms E-clip found throughout UPS.
