20th of July, 50 years ago humans first landed on the moon and as a way to celebrate Apollo 11's moon landing I started making a 3D replica of the space suit used. For now this is only the helmet, communication carrier ( a.k.a. snoopy cap ) and astronaut, which is heavily inspired by the likeness of Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin ( hence the title ). Still a work in progress, but today is probably the best day to post about it.Made in Maya, Zbrush, textured in Mari, rendered and shaded in Arnold.
