I used a base (found it on google, because the base was deleted on the owner's page Oo) and opened in Gimp.
Then I made a new layer and made the hair on it (and zoomed a lot, like 2000% xD), then another new layer for the hat and so on Oo
It's not so difficult when you have a base. I once tried them without a base and it looked terrible xD
But I guess it's really difficult for you because you don't have a grafik tablet....

I know that I was just saying... some will allow you to use their base if your just charging points but if you charge real money alot won't let you but hey it'd probably just be better if you just ask that person if you can
