So a few weeks back I held a lil contest for whomever captured my 5000th page view...I know its not much yet, but I'm getting there! Anyway, a great fan of mine [link] won and as a prize I promised a sketch from me, delivered to the winner (Wherever they live in the world.) Well Cornerguy13 happens to live in Puerto Rico, so it took a few days...and to his request, I drew Spidey swinging through the city. A special thanks to Cornerguy13 for being such a supportive fan...honestly, that's where I get my inspiration and desire to succeed...from my fans, or anyone who appreciates my craft. I waited until he received my sketch to post it here. I didn't wanna spoil the surprise.Mike V.O.

Mike, your art just plain kicks a$$!!! the time and detail you put into getting the perspective right is amazing, it's really what seperates you from other non-pros.... the figure work is dynamic without losing sight of proper anatomy etc...
great job!!

Oh wow! The perspective on this is amazing!! Is it three point or two point? It looks like it could be two point, but slightly distorted.
And Spidey looks awesome! Nice convenyance of motion in the strain and pull of his muscles.

Thanks for the kind comments! And to answer your q, cornerguy13 is correct....its all based from one vanishing point. I just twisted the paper for a more dynamic effect...looks difficult, but its honestly pretty basic

The more I've been looking at it, the more I began to realize it's a really dynamic one point! I've never seen one point like this!! It looks great!! *is secretly jealous of it XD*

I simply hate drawing buildings and cars, and they must have taken you a while to render them all! The tilting of his body is really what makes this piece stand out for me, as it gives a sense of weightlessness! It really looks as if he's swinging high above the city streets! Very nice work on his costume, and I see you kept his armpit webbing(it adds a great touch for effect). This piece is absolutely amazing!

Thanks for the awesome comment! Yeah, this took a while, but not as long as you'd think. I'm happy with the composition of this one...I was going for a dynamic Spidey shot, and I pulled it off! Love when that happens. Oh, and the armpit webbing just came to me as an added bonus... I through it in there and I liked it, so I kept it.

In a professional matter; The background was magnificent. It shows that you're well rounded. I liked the perspective. It shows that you have a good understanding of it. The anatomy (In my opinion) was good. You have a great understanding of the human body.
