Silkbeam is the winner of the Campfire Story Writing Contest wrote a story called "The Campfire That Could".

It tells a story of the campfire named Lite whose lite went out. He needs a fairy to brighten him.

STORYTELLER: Once upon the trees, there was this campfire.
The campfire's name was Lite and it liked being lit and it was very friendly.

One day, it was very dark and no one was around.
It wasn't lit and was scared like a firefly with no light.

Something rustled in the bushes!

"It was just wind though, thought Lite.

Lite tried and tried to get lit.
It was just a matter of time for someone to come out of the bushes.

It was Tinker Bell! Lite was so excited!

But, sadly, Tink said she was a Tinker, not a Light Fairy."
So ..... she left.

Poor Lite, all sad and lonely.

Someone should've lit Lite by now!

"Oh and something wonderful happened!"

Rosetta came and saw Lite. She wanted to help but she couldn't!
She was a Garden Fairy not a Light Fairy.

Lite's hopes started to fade ...

Iridessa came while Lite was sleeping.
"WAKE UP LITE!"

Suddenly, Lite woke up to see Iridessa light Lite up. Lite was very happy.

Lite told all its children and the story got better and better."

Of course, Lite was a patient campfire.
Now Fairies and Sparrow Men like to gather 'round Lite, and sing Campfire songs.
