Description The two 'women' from Sherlock series. Whether one is 'the pathologist' or one is 'the dominatrix', I believe they both take the title of 'the woman' in Sherlock's life.

Irene Adler & Molly Hooper (c) BBC Sherlock

Molly is perfect. Irene is a hag.

No offense to Irene but I think Molly's the one who's more important to Sherlock. There are numerous times throughout the series that Sherlock shows in his own odd way that he cares about Molly and she means a lot to him, plus there the scene or two in season 3 that suggest that he might have feelings for Molly like she has for him. I think Mary's become very important to Sherlock too, she might be John's wife but I think he loves her almost as much as he loves John.

I don't think you will find an argument around here.

This is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but keep in mind that there are a few other lovely women on the show, as well.Β

Thank you for your comment ^^
Oh believe me, as a huge fan of the show and the original texts of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle I am fully away of this.
Perhaps I should have explained further in the artists comments, but when I say women I don't mean it on a character gender basis. These 'are the women' to Sherlock. While Mrs Hudson, Mary, Donovan, etc are very strong female characters in the show, I believe they do not have the same effect on Sherlock as these Irene and Molly do.
Irene Adler introduces him to love. A quote from Mark Gatiss about photograph in the ending of the original story, "he admires her above all of her sex". And with Molly Hooper in the modern adaption, it is quite obvious the trust Sherlock lays in her. She is the one he goes to whenever he is near death, whether it be in his mind palace or at St. Barts.
Whether one is 'the pathologist' or one is 'the dominatrix', I believe they both take the title of 'the woman' in Sherlock's life. I had hoped this idea was helped in its presentation with the text along side the portraits, but if not, I hope I have made myself clearer now ^^
