Description AHAHA! My baby-bird finally! I got a MYO slot a few weeks ago and finally finished him today. :v My smelly, old- little traitor Akriri. I love him s'much!

Name: Mardus
Age: 180ish (maybe older)
pronouns: he/him
Proffesion: Alchemist(?)

Bio
Exiled from his previous tribe as found guildy for participating in a series of events that ended up with the poiosing of one of the Elders , Mardus have now relocated to a smaller Akriri tribe where he settles in a small isolated house a few metres outside the community.
He will mostly found walking around the forest collecting anything from herbs to insects to use in his rather questionable ways of potion and medicine making.
He has a preference of using items that have a rather strong (and usually not very pleasant smell) that afterwards he proceeds to hang outside his home to allow them sun-dry. Sometimes the stench is so strong other Akriri don't even go near it or change their way around it.
Mardus is extremely interest in necromancy and "dark magic" practices and he will usually incoporate the above to his alchemy experiments.
Due to his past he is not well-liked in the village but he was approached several times (usually in extreme mysticality) by other folk who wanted someone to do the dirty work for them. Making a poison to use on another folk, placing a curse on someone. Even folk with a severe health issue may reach to him and his "dirty magic" as a final resort to their problems
Mardus rarely takes coin from them but he will ask for tinkers, clothes or other jewelerys. Plumage, especially from higher Status Akriri is of great value to him.
While he is now marked, more or less, just a "traitor" Mardus has never showed any sign of remorse of what happened earlier in his life.

Extras
-Has a lame leg
-Other than necromantic and various other dark practices he is actually very interest in the ways of baking
-The results are usually  not very edible to say the least
-The skull he wears was crafted by a very old friend as a gift
-Talks to himself whenever he works (even when others are around him)
-Small Akriri are his favourite...
-...dish

Okay I love this little blighter! He sort of reminds me of a Neverwinter Nights game I played were we were all evil characters and it was hilarious fun. Every good story needs some likable antagonists after all. He's just so cute though.

I really REALLY enjoy thinking about "bad" characters. Especially ones with "no excuses". Just good old douchebaggery running thru their veins. I still find myself WANTING to give them an excuse in the end tho lol. I do it all the time in the real world so it's hard to take it away from my fictional characters xD I really want to write about a pure evil chara at least once tho c:

And omg whenever i started Fallout i was telling myself i'll be the bad guy this time and after the first "bad choice" i was feeling very bad and restarted the game lol. I am weak

I tend to like to make bad guys where they have like their own moral code of what's acceptable and what's not, it just really doesn't line up with society's ideas of good and evil. More neutral evil characters rather than straight up chaotic evil characters to borrow from DnD alignments. Occasionally a lawful evil character thrown in for good measure.

I'm big about making character backstories so like obviously their behavior has to come from somewhere, but yeah having a reason doesn't necessarily make everything okay that's for sure. Our specific NwN campaign was this really great one called Runes of Blood which definitely had the evil options worked out and available and we had sooo much fun! We had like our home town where we tended to act like respectable people but yeah, still sort of sketchy. Then again I think it was fun because I always tend to go for the good characters by default.

Omg, you know what we should do? We should make some silly evil birbs and they can be the villians to Honkeye and Coocoolson's good guys.

Yes! That's usually how i approach things regarding bad guys as well. Because in general i have this (still a bit vague i admit) mindset that mankind, by default, is not evil. I think it usually(if not always) takes a certain chain of events in someone's life to make him resort to extreme non-comforting actions. For quick examble; In most stories about series killers i've read (always a fascinating subject imho) the individuals were raised from childhood in a rather unfriendly enviroment. Beign out of the "proper well-behaved" society can make someone filter certain things a lot harded.

Because i don't consider myself very good in writing about evil characters i really enjoy when others do it, or watch it on screen or read a book about it. It's just sometimes there are such...corny reasons behind it that it takes away the fun for me. Guy turns super evil because in the past his parents used to work all the time and his dad missed the baseball match. I'm all about justifying actions but at least, have a believable story? Otherwise just let him be the douche he really is and let people hate freely. Man i miss pure evil characters from tv nowadays. I think the most recent examble i have is Jeoffry Baratheon from the GoT series. That kid was evil from the womb.

Evil vilain birbs must happen! It's on the list now!

Aah he sounds awesome! And such a perfect fit with my main akriri, Hèl and his elder brother Plague! ;v;
Hèl is the beast of Giant Thicket and is a cannibal, and Plague is a plague / regular doctor who secretive experiments on other akriris hh
Sounds like they would have a blast together!

Thank you very much!
AAh! a fellow doctor with an interest in "unusual" practises like Mardus would be a bless for him atm! I'm not sure about the other Folk tho...haha! Besides i am weak for plague-doctor designs as mine is vaguely based on that concept aswell!

That's awesome! I'd love to perhaps draw them both together sometime when I got the time, if you'd allow it? ;v;
Haha! The other one can be a tad devious, yes, and not always too safe to be around.
I adore plague doctors so I had to create one based on them aah <3
