∟ Shige joined because he knows that he's gifted, and he enjoys sharing his voice with others. His father also shared an interest in Korean culture in his youth and this puts Shige even closer to his father whom was disheartened at a young age. Shige wants his father to smile.

History:

∟ Coming from a single-parent household, Shige naturally developed
a strange sense of independence, especially with having a younger
sister. His father, a Japanese man, was the victim of a broken heart,
using work to cope with his 'illness' so to speak. A busy mind kept it
from wandering. Shige knew his mother of course, a pure Korean woman,
in which his Father attempted to make a life with, but in the end she
chose to leave him on account he 'didn't love her and she wasn't happy.'
Weekend visits with his mother was limited as Shige refused to leave his
younger sister behind, a half-Arabic mixture as her tanned skin often gave
away. Shige's father was a talented chef, with a crazy ace academic past,
so he was privileged; but even so, his father, made sure to keep him
humble, as money means nothing without happiness. Generally he had a
regular childhood beside all of his elite childhood friends, one of which
is his partner in crime(Haneul), whom he forced to take this journey with
him. Shige only wants his father to smile genuinely, as the burden of a
broken heart consumed his life and his health. Sick and refusing to take
any medication, Shige is forced to watch his father waste away. The least
he can do is put a smile on his Father's face in the last of his moments.

∟ Has a pretty heartless approach towards 'feelings' and 'love' due to his environment in which he was raised in.

∟ Has a little trouble filtering himself, for the sake of other's feelings.

∟ Shige does have European blood, which is where he obtained the blue in his eyes. His grandmother was half european and japanese, whom then married a pure Japanese man, which is why the blue-eyed gene skipped his father and went to him instead.

∟ Shige learned a lot of korean from his mother, but went on furthering his korean language independently with classes.
