Sorry about the reupload. I wanted to make a smaller version with a watermark on it for my gallery, and save the super large one for the printsTHERE we go! I did the first rendition of this picture on November 19th, 2004, and I wanted to redo it since it was a lovely pose. You can see the origonal here.
I really wanted to do a better picture of her then the last one I drew .

Mai, the beautiful desert fox is from another dimension -- no wonder everyone loves her! She's the epitome of elegance and the queen of stylish aloofness. Although she doesn't see herself as being too other worldly for us, she is definitely too lovely to ever exist here in any dimension except our dreams.

Yeah. The hardest part was the color.. Then I realized it would be the same as the sky, so made it that bright desert noon sky blue, added some dark areas, then had a lensflare for the sun in it, and smudged it to make the ripples. <3
